How to Identify a Skunk Cory
- Signature stripe: Black stripe from snout through eye, sweeping over the dorsal to the base of the tail (continuous “skunk” line).
- Compare: Corydoras melini (“False Skunk”) has the dark stripe not fully continuous to the caudal base; pattern differs behind the dorsal.
- Body: Pale/silvery body, short barbels; typical Corydoras morphology.
